Relive the days when Indians, pirates, wreckers and railroaders roamed the Keys by touring the Museum of Natural History. Nature trails wind throughout the native tropical hardwood hammock and bring you to a beautiful view of Florida Bay. The second oldest house outside of Key West, the Adderley House, is on site and was built in 1904 by Bahamian pioneers. MARATHON WILD BIRD CENTER MM50. Home office and wildlife rehabilitation center are nestled in a 64-acre hardwood hammock as part of the Crane Point Museum and Nature Center. People throughout the Florida Keys know the MWBC as one of the leading wild bird rescue centers for the care and rehabilitation of wild birds in Monroe County. In addition to the operation of a year-round rehabilitation clinic, the Bird Center also participates in a variety of educational programs and research projects.

DOLPHIN RESEARCH CENTER

PIGEON KEY

MM49.Rich in history, this key has been named to the Narional Register of Historic Places and a restoration project is scheduled to begin this year. No cars are allowed on the Key so you can take a shuttle bus from the Pigeon Key Visitor Center in the old railroad car on Knight's island.

SOMBRERO BEACH

MM50. Beachfront park features picnic tables, park, playground, restrooms, covered shelters and a protected cove at the west end for children.
